The Divine Furnace: From Verdant Canopy to Flaming Petrol — A Qur’anic Prophecy
Fulfilled
Behold the decree of Allah, articulated with majestic precision in the Holy
Qur’an:
“Who made for you from the
green tree a fire, and from it,
you kindle.” (Surah Yaseen, 36:80)
And further, consider His words:
“And Who brings forth the pasturage, then makes it dark stubble.”
(Surah Al-A‘la, 87:4-5)
For centuries, the human intellect perceived these verses merely as a
description of kindling wood. Today, science kneels in awe before them, for
they contain nothing less than a complete, prescient blueprint for the
origin of all hydrocarbon energy—a divine revelation of the cosmic alchemy
that transforms living, breathing greenery into the very fire that drives
civilization.
The Green Tree: Earth’s Primary Solar Nexus and Chemical Crucible
The verse specifies "the green tree" — not dry timber, but the living,
photosynthetic engine. This is the first masterstroke of the Qur’anic
miracle. Modern science now confirms that the green tree is not merely *a*
source of fuel, but the singular, primordial forge for all combustible
energy on Earth.
Through the divinely-orchestrated process of photosynthesis, the green tree
performs a feat of atomic transmutation:
It captures the sun’s radiant energy, wielding it to cleave water molecules
(H₂O), releasing life-giving oxygen and retaining hydrogen.
Simultaneously, it shatters atmospheric carbon dioxide (CO₂), sequestering
carbon and releasing more oxygen.
Thus, from sunlight, water, and air, the tree forges the fundamental units
of energy: Carbon (C) and Hydrogen (H). It binds these atoms into
sophisticated chains—carbohydrates, cellulose, lignin—which are nothing less
than congealed sunlight, a battery of stored chemical potential.
The Great Atomic Cycle: From Canopy to Crude
This is where the second verse manifests its profound truth: “And Who
brings forth the pasturage, then makes it dark stubble.” This "dark stubble"
is the quintessential endpoint of organic matter—a black, carbon-rich
residue.
On a planetary scale, across eons, this process is the exclusive origin of
fossil fuels. Ancient forests and vast pastures—those "pasturages" of
primordial Earth—were buried under geological cataclysms. Subjected to
immense heat and pressure over millions of years, this organic "stubble"
underwent a slow, divine distillation.
The stored solar energy within those carbon-hydrogen bonds was not lost; it
was geochemically refined. The complex organic structures of "the green
tree" were broken down and re-synthesized into the dense, potent molecular
cocktails we call crude oil, natural gas, and coal.
Therefore, every drop of petrol, every whiff of natural gas, is the
resurrected essence of ancient sunlight, harvested and packaged by
prehistoric green trees. The engine that roars, the furnace that blazes,
does so with the released solar fire of a Jurassic forest, as decreed by
Allah.
The Qur’anic Miracle: A Prelude to Modern Thermodynamics
Fourteen centuries before humanity understood the carbon cycle, the laws of
thermodynamics, or the concept of energy transformation, the Qur’an laid
bare the continuum:
The Source: The Green Tree (Solar Energy Captor).
The Process: Storage of atomic bonds (C-H) as "stored fire."
The Transformation: Into "dark stubble" and, by extension, fossil fuels.
The Release: "And from it, you kindle" — the combustion that liberates the ancient
sun’s energy for human use.
This is no casual observation. It is a precise scientific narrative
revealing that all energy of organic origin—from a burning log to the
mightiest rocket fuel—flows from this singular, photosynthetic origin. The
green tree is the foundational link in a chain that powers human
civilization, maintaining atmospheric balance while building the
subterranean energy reserves that would fuel our age.
Conclusion: A Testament to Divine Wisdom
Thus, the verses stand unchallenged as an eternal testament. They move from
the specific—"from the green tree, a fire"—to the cosmic, explaining the
very genesis of petrol. They reveal the unseen cycle where plants, animals,
and humans exchange carbon atoms, and where the planet itself stores the
bounty of its ancient flora as a mercy for generations to come.
We now understand: the fire we kindle is the same fire first kindled by the
sunlight in the leaf. The petrol that moves our world is the blackened,
distilled legacy of Allah’s "pasturage." In this perfect congruence of
revelation and reality, we find incontrovertible proof of the Qur’an’s
divine origin.

Praise and thanks be to Allah, the Originator of the heavens and the earth,
Who appointed the green tree as the keeper of the sun’s flame and the
architect of the energy that sustains our civilization. First, and
Last.
The Tethering of Horses
(Bound Force)
In a noble verse that pierces the very core of time, the Lord of Glory directs us to a law of existence: "And prepare against them whatever you are able of power and of steeds of war by which you may terrify the enemy of Allah." This is the divine command to build a deterrent force, one that instills awe in the enemy, preventing them from aggression and transgression.
What is happening in Gaza is not merely aggression; it is a harsh slap that awakens every sleeper and calls out to every heedless person. It has shattered the barriers of fear and revealed a bitter truth: that nations that fail to build a strong barrier to deter aggressors are destined to be trampled upon, humiliated, and have their blood shed in full view of the world.
"The Tethering of Horses" is the Quran's code for deterrence in every age. In our time, it is the weapon that makes the price of aggression exorbitant, that makes enemies think twice before they commit evil. It is the only guarantee of a nation's dignity, the barrier that protects the cradle from being destroyed and the harem from being violated.
The Zionist entity, this colonial implant in the heart of the nation, would not have dared to do what it did without its international backing and the support of the great powers, led by the United States. It reminds us that subservience and weakness only breed more humiliation and degradation.
The lesson is clear as day: the nation and its leaders must rise to possess the tools of power and deterrence, to transform from a state of begging to one of equality and respect. The harshest lesson, however, is the one being written on the walls of history by the blood of Gaza's children. For that child who sees his home collapse on his loved ones, who sleeps to the sounds of bombing, and wakes up to the corpses of innocents... What heart will grow in his chest? What future will he build for this conflict?
This is the moment of truth. Either we learn a lesson and arm ourselves with a force that deters cowards, or we prepare for a new generation that knows only one language... the language of revenge.
Let the nation not be oblivious to God's laws in His universe. Whoever abandons strength will be humiliated, and whoever abandons deterrence will be humiliated.
A Ghost of Failures Past: Why the Latest U.S. (Trump) Gaza Peace Plan is Already Stumbling
In a move described by some officials as a "new peace plan," the United States (Trump) has presented another plan aimed at securing a ceasefire and hostage release in Gaza. Yet, within hours of its unveiling, a familiar sense of skepticism descended upon the region. The proposal, while adjusted for the current brutal phase of the conflict, appears haunted by the same fundamental flaws that have doomed American-led initiatives for decades. It faces an uphill battle, not just because of the deep chasm between Hamas and the Israeli government, but because the very architecture of U.S. diplomacy in the region suffers from a critical trust deficit.
One of the most glaring points of failure in previous plans, and a shadow that looms over this new effort, is the perplexing continued reliance on certain international figures whose credibility in the Arab world is shattered. The appointment of figures like former British Prime Minister Tony Blair as a key envoy for the 2020 "Peace to Prosperity" plan was a catastrophic misstep. To understand why new plans are met with such instinctive distrust, one must understand the legacy of such choices.
The Blair Precedent: A Poisoned Chalice
The decision to involve Tony Blair in a prior "Deal of the Century" was, for many Palestinians and observers across the Middle East, a profound insult. Blair is not viewed as a neutral peacemaker but as a central architect of the 2003 Iraq War—a conflict built on a foundation of lies regarding Weapons of Mass Destruction (WMDs).
The invasion, championed by Blair alongside the U.S., led to the deaths of hundreds of thousands of Iraqis, the destabilization of the entire region, and the deaths of countless innocent children, both from the war itself and from the devastating sanctions that preceded it. For this, many consider him a war criminal who enabled a campaign that flagrantly violated international law. To then appoint this same individual as a mediator for the Palestinian cause signaled a tone-deaf arrogance and a complete disregard for the lived trauma and historical memory of the people whose future he was supposed to help secure.
His involvement guaranteed deep-seated distrust, reinforcing the perception that Western peace plans are merely a form of colonial imposition, dressed in the language of diplomacy. It framed the entire process as one managed by powers that have demonstrated a disregard for Arab life and truth.
The New Plan and the Ghost of Credibility Past
While this new proposal may not feature Tony Blair, it is burdened by the legacy of his involvement and the pattern it represents. The current plan is being advanced in a media landscape where past failures are instantly recalled. The memory of the 2020 plan, which was negotiated without Palestinians and offered a vision of permanent Israeli control, is fresh. The presence of architects from that failed initiative in the broader political ecosystem taints the new effort.
When the messengers of peace are associated with past campaigns of war based on false pretenses, or with plans that denied fundamental rights, how can there be trust? For Hamas and a skeptical Palestinian public, negotiations led by a party that has historically been an unwavering ally to Israel, and which has previously engaged with discredited envoys, are viewed through a lens of profound suspicion. They see a process designed not for justice, but for pacification.
A Path Forward Requires a Reckoning with the Past
The latest ceasefire draft may contain practical steps, but diplomacy is not just about the text on a page; it is about the trust required to implement it. The repeated failure of U.S.-backed plans—from the grand "Deal of the Century" to the latest desperate bid for a ceasefire—stems from this foundational lack of credibility.
Until the architects of these initiatives genuinely reckon with this history and understand why figures like Blair are seen not as honest brokers but as symbols of destructive hypocrisy, their proposals will continue to falter. Lasting peace requires more than just new drafts; it requires new foundations built on justice, impartiality, and a respect for the historical record that the people of the region have not forgotten, even if Western capitals wish they had. The ghost of the 2003 Iraq War, and the envoys who championed it, ensures that without this fundamental shift, any new "deal" will be stillborn.
Is the Sun showing the day or vice versa?
What the Holy Quran says?
The relationship between the Sun and the concept of the day is a fascinating interplay of astrophysical phenomena and human perception. At its core, the Sun does not "show" the day; rather, the presence of daylight is a result of the Earth rotating on its axis, exposing different parts of its surface to the Sun's light over a 24-hour cycle. This rotation leads to the natural division of time into day and night, with the day being the period when a particular part of the Earth is facing towards the Sun, receiving its light and warmth.
The concept of "day" is thus intrinsically linked to the Sun's presence in the sky, but it's the Earth's rotation that dictates the cycle of day and night, not the Sun itself. More important it is the atmosphere that show the day light and not the sun per se. From a human perspective, the Sun appears to rise in the east and set in the west, marking the beginning and end of what we consider a day. This daily cycle has been central to human life, influencing everything from the structure of our societies to the creation of calendars and timekeeping systems.
In essence, the day is a manifestation of the Earth's rotation, illuminated by the Sun and shown by the earth atmosphere.
The relationship between the day and the sun will be discussed here, and we will see the fascinating says about this from the Holy Quran.
The day is mentioned 57 times in the Quran, while the night is mentioned 95 times, and the two are mentioned together 24 times, and in all the times they mentioned together, the night is the one that precedes, and the day is subordinate to it.
The Almighty said:
He who created the night and the day, the sun and the moon, each in its own sphere, and they all swim in an ark (Al-Anbiya, 33)
This means that both night and day were created as the sun was created, and the moon was created.
If we look at Surat al-Shams, we will find that Allah Almighty started it by swearing by the sun, then by its noon, then by the moon, day and night, and the other sections, as in the following verses of Surat al-Shams:
And the sun and its noon (1) and the moon when it follows it (2) and the day when it appears (3) and the night when it covers it (4) and the sky and what it builds (5) and the earth and what it mills (6) and the soul and what it equates (7).
We note that the pronoun (ha) ها in Arabic in this surah refers to the sun, including the day, as it makes it clear. The word Jalaha جلاها means to show and reveal it, i.e., the daytime has shown and revealed the sun, not the darkness as interpreted by some commentators.
It is the day that shows the sun and not the other way around.
How, then, does the day show the sun and its light, i.e. (how does the day show and reflect the sun?)
This is what we will try to shed light on from the Quran itself and scientific data.
First of all, we must understand that the sun is a factor in the manifestation of the day, but the day was created with specifications that manifest the appearance of the sun that we are used to, and without these daylight factors in the creation of the day, the sun's disk would become dull and white, and there would be no daylight as we are used to, and we would be closer to darkness than to daylight.
Night is mentioned before day because night is the default in the universe, and if we were to rise to 200 kilometers above the earth's surface, the day would completely disappear while we are at the height of the day, and night (darkness) would dominate existence.
This happens because daylight on Earth occurs because of the reflections and scattering of sunlight on the atoms of water, dust, and other molecules in the Earth's atmosphere factors, as the Quran mentioned (created the day).
If it were not for this reflection and scattering of light, the sun would not appear as we see it, and it would be just a white disk like the one that appears from the surface of the moon, and this is the meaning of the word (Jalaha), which means that the day shows and reveals the sun, and here the pronoun returns to the sun. The word “Jalalah” means to show and reveal, as in the verse:
They ask you about the Hour, when will it be sent, Say: ‘Indeed, its knowledge is with my Lord, and He will not make it manifest for its time except by Him’ (187 Al-A'raf)
The Holy Quran has mentioned the day as the one that is manifested by its light and its characteristics, not only in the sun, by saying: Almighty God:
And the day, when it is made manifest.
That is, daylight if it manifests itself on Earth with the characteristics that God created it with, including the reflections and scattering of sunlight by water and dust particles in the lower layers of the Earth's atmosphere.
In the absence of light scattering by molecules in the atmosphere, there will be no blue sky, but black, and the stars will appear as dots only, and even the seas and oceans appear black, and even traffic lights will not work because we see red and blue light and the rest of the color spectrum by light scattering, without it, the dominant colors will be black and white.
The Qur'an emphasizes that night is predominant. As for the day, it is what happens due to reflection and scattering or light elongation in the earth's lower atmosphere, and it represents only a simple crust estimated at 200 km from the surface of the earth, as if it had been flayed:
And a sign for them is the night from which we take away the day, and behold, they are in darkness (37 Yasen).

The Earth is surrounded by cosmic darkness and daylight is observed as a thin layer 200 kilometers from the Earth's surface (between the two arrows) as if it had been flayed

This is how the sun looks from the moon because it does not have the elements of daylight, and so it would be on Earth if God had not created daylight and its elements, and the two dominant colors are black and white
If we ascend to more than 200 kilometers above the earth's surface, we will see the sun covered by darkness, just as the Almighty said:
And the night when it falls.

This is how the sun appears from outside the earth's atmosphere as a white disk covered by night on all sides:
And the night when it falls
The word (jalaha) means to reveal, to show, to reveal something, to reveal it little by little, and so the day brings out the sun, revealing it to a beautiful day.

The daytime sun on Earth is gradual light with bright sun surrounded by nicely blue sky. Without the day time factors (created as the Quran said) such as the atmosphere and other particles, the color would be black and white like the sun on the moon sky a white disk surrounded by darkness.
What gives the sky its comfortable blue color to the eye is the earth's atmosphere, which contains molecules and air, so the tropicalization is formed and the day and the color of the sky are born.
As soon as we rise to the stratosphere, we become in darkness, although the earth is below us in the middle of the day, and as soon as we descend to the lower layers of the atmosphere, the day and the sun are revealed to us, as in the pictures taken by the owner of the highest jump from space, Felix Baumgartner, from a balloon at an altitude of 37 km and a speed of 1357 km per hour downwards.

A post-jump image from a camera on the helmet shows the dark sky surrounding the jumper because he is still above the Earth's atmosphere, while on the ground there is daylight formed by the thin blue layer, which is the Earth's atmosphere that reflects the day and the sun.

After descending into the Earth's atmosphere, the darkness ends and the blue sky and the sun are revealed.
As it is daylight that makes the sun appear in the Earth's atmosphere, the jumper's helmet is now inside the Earth's atmosphere.
These scientific facts became known to man recently and not at the time of the revelation of the Quran more than 1400 years ago. This indicates that Allah who created the day and make it to manifest the sun on earth is the one who revealed the Holy Quran.
